Books By Miley Cyrus
Summary
Miley Cyrus, known by many across the globe as the world's most famous teenager,
released this autobiography at the age of only sixteen. Her rise to fame came a
mere two or three years previous to writing this book, as the star of kids TV
show 'Hannah Montana', playing the character of Miley Stewart and her alter ego
pop/rockstar Hannah Montana.
The book itsself contains a fairly in-depth
look into the life of the young star so far, with her recollecting stories of
being bullied in sixth grade, making friends with a very young girl who suffered
from Cysitc Fibrosis, losing her beloved 'Pappy' and all about her experiences
in the media spotlight.
It is clear from the beginning that Miley has a
very unique, but very engaging writing style. Her use of metaphors such as where
she uses her ambidexterity to show she is not to be categorised or stereotyped
into just one group of being an actress, being a singer etc. These metaphors and
other ways in which the young author enables the reader to understand exactly
what it is she is trying to portray her ideas and feelings present a feeling of
character throughout the book, allowing for a likeability factor in terms of how
the reader views the bubbly teenager from Tennesse.

Quotes from Miles To Go
“The minute you stop making mistakes is the minute you stop
learning.”
“There are multiple sides to all of us. Who we are - and who we might be if we
follow our dreams”
“Embarrassment is the worst! It's the feeling of having your entire body go numb
and not knowning what to do with yourself for that one
moment”
“It's hard to imagine that our love is a story with an end. But you know, at
least I'm getting some really good songs out of it”
“The biggest moments of insecurity come when all self-confidence is lost and you
feel like people are watching and judging. It should be the opposite. You should
feel like the people who are watching care about you. This is something we can
try to give each other – the feeling that eyes signal support, not
disdain.”
“The dreams that you hold for your future are what you dream about at night.
They’re always at the back of your mind. They’re what your heart desires. They
keep you going. Accept reality and have a backup plan, but always follow your
dreams no matter what.”
